Andrés Duque

Andrés Duque is a Spanish filmmaker who was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His work is on the fringes of Spanish non-fiction, with a strong documentary and essayistic orientation. His first film, Ivan Z, is a portrait of cult filmmaker Iván Zulueta. In 2011 he made his first feature film, Colour Runaway Dog, which premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Punto de Vista International Film Festival. In 2013 he received the City of Barcelona Award for his film Dress Rehearsal for Utopia. His most recent work is the multi-award winning film Oleg and the Rare Arts.
