As the person that she is, nothing human is alien to her. After spending 20 years in Mexico, she currently lives in Seville. She has made five feature films: The Passion of María Elena, The Immortal, The Mermaid and the Diver, Magic Words (Breaking a Spell) and My Dear Spain. She has made various works commissioned by the Goethe-Institut and for HBO Latino, and has attended a host of festivals and won multiple awards and acclaim. She was also selected to the Masters section at the IDFA, earned an award at the 2013 LASA Film Festival and served on the jury at various festivals. In 2013 she worked as a cultural advisor to the Mexican newspaper Reforma. She has also worked as an assessor for the Ibermedia, Cinergia and FOPROCINE programmes at the IMCINE, Mexican Film Institute.
