He is a visiting lecturer at the Journalism and Audiovisual Communication Department of Carlos III University in Madrid and member of the Tecmerin research group. He has published extensively on the subject of documentary film and has programmed experimental film and video series for the Seville European Film Festival, the CGAI and La Casa Encendida, about figures such as Gunvor Nelson and Birgit Hein, among others. He was a member of the selection committee for the Punto de Vista Documentary Film Festival (2010-2013) and co-director of Xperimenta, which was held in 2007, 2009 and 2011. He is currently working on a monograph on Iván Zulueta as well as another book on documentary film in Spain and Latin America.
